This past Friday my friend Ann and I took a little trip over to West Vancouver. We strolled the beaches and visited the Galleries. I decided to take a video with my digital camera of the show at the Ferry Building; a show in which I was so glad to be a part of! My camera ran out of memory before I got what I wanted. I guess the memory ran out because I stopped to smell the roses. I’ll have to try again. All this tech stuff; but I am learning.
No video yet…but Ann did take a pic of myself standing beside my painting. The painting “Sundance” sold on the last day of the show. After the visit to West Van we dropped in to Dene Crofts studio in Lonsdale. Ann, myself and several others have been painting in the Studio for almost a year. The atmosphere in their beautiful space is friendly and inspiring. Dene gives painting lessons and Kiff Holland takes part in the mentoring. I will be starting back in the Fall with the mentoring program. I received great instruction in painting with oils. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in learning to paint. There are all levels of painters in the studio; from beginners to the more advanced.
